Wollken Studio makes premium natural fiber pieces from Mongolia, designed in Berlin.

Our story begins in Uyanga, in the Uvurkhangai province, where our founder Nandin grew up among herder families. The fiber we work with comes from the animals she knows from childhood. Yak down, known in Mongolian as khöövör, is our hero material. It is scarcer than cashmere and just as soft. It is stronger, it is biodegradable, and a single yak yields five times more fiber than a cashmere goat.

Our supply chain runs from the herders in Uyanga through our weavers and knitters in Ulaanbaatar to our studio in Berlin. Nandin leads brand and design in Berlin, and her husband and co-founder Zuko runs supply chain and operations in Mongolia. Every piece carries that route with it.

We founded Wollken Studio in September 2025 and sell directly to you, online first, with seasonal pop-ups across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Scandinavia.
